Codependency is a pattern of behavior in which one finds themselves dependent on another for validation of their own self-worth and identity.  In a codependent relationship, one's sense of self becomes clouded by the existence of their partner.  These unhealthy relationships, which typically emerge as a result of mental illness or trauma, are often romanticised despite their actual short term and long term consequences. BUG is the cautionary tale about the dangers of codependency...
