In Lisa Loomer's dark comedy, three women from different centuries (18th-Century China, 19th-Century Victorian England, and present-day New Jersey) all meet in a modern hospital waiting room. They discuss the pains they are facing as a result of altering their bodies to meet societal standards of feminine beauty — foot binding, wearing corsets, undergoing breast surgery. The women confront human nature and the modern health care system as they struggle for answers. Student-directed by Ciera Eis.
