Student Daniel Eslick directs a production of The Servant of Two Masters, Carlo Goldoni's best known work. A fun romp for audiences of all ages, Servant exemplifies the evolution ofcommedia dell-arte, the style of broad, comedic Italian theater popular from the 1500s through the 1700s throughout Europe. Goldoni (1707–1793) was influenced by new comedies, especially those of the French playwright Moliere, and renovated thecommedia form by replacing its masked stock figures with more realistic characters and creating more tightly constructed plots and reducing the predictable slapstick. For these innovations Goldoni is considered the founder of Italian realistic comedy.
Director Eslick says "We will follow the cast of characters through a fun little romp of hard work, disguises, mistaken identity, even bigger mistakes, and one very angry stomach." Eslick plans to include commedia dell'arte influences, modern influences, and some innovations of his own.

Ticket window opens 1 hour before curtain. Theater doors open 30-minutes prior to performances. Latecomers will be seated at the discretion of theater management. Seating is unreserved. The Second Stage has 215 fixed seats and provides space for 2 wheelchairs with 2–3 guests.
